Registration and Tokenization of Renewable Energy Assets
To tokenize a renewable energy asset, the asset owner must first register it with the penomo platform. The registration process involves providing detailed information about the asset and the project, such as its capacity, location, and operational data. Once registered, the asset is assigned a unique Decentralized Identifier (DID), which is then included as metadata to the Security Token Smart Contract to create the corresponding tokens.
The DID is used to uniquely verify the identity and attributes of the renewable energy asset on-chain, ensuring authenticity and traceability. Additionally, the DID allows for secure integration of off-chain data with the tokenized asset, enabling real-time monitoring and reporting of its performance, determining the asset's valuation and environmental impact.
